It is a known fact that we must drink at least eight glasses of water every day to stay healthy, but do you know the best times to drink water? Read on to know how time plays a crucial part in water consumption to benefit your body to the fullest.

1st glass
As soon as you wake up, have one glass of water. If possible, drink warm water. It helps rehydrate your body, flush out toxins, and enhance the metabolism process.

2nd glass
Breakfast should be eaten at least 30 minutes post the first glass of water. 2nd intake of glass of water should be one hour after your breakfast. It helps absorb essential nutrients.

3rd glass and 4th glass
30 minutes before lunch drink the 3rd glass of water. Do not consume water between meals, it dilutes digestive juices and severely hampers functioning of the body. 4th glass of water should be consumed post one hour of lunch. It helps accelerate the digestive process and assimilate nutrients.

5th glass
When you take a tea break, instead of coffee or tea, have a glass of natural juice or any other non-sweetened drink. It will not only keep you hydrated, but will also activate your mind.

6th glass and 7th glass
2 hours before having your dinner, drink a glass of water. This will keep you from overeating during dinner. The 7th glass of water should be consumed one hour after your dinner. Again, this speeds up the metabolism process, and easily absorbs nutrients.

8th glass
The last glass of water should be consumed an hour before bedtime. It aids the cell renewal process during sleep.
