WhatsApp will soon let users delete messages AFTER they’ve been sent

Messaging app FINALLY gives everyone the chance to claw back embarrassing missives before they cause any damage

HAVE you ever wished you could delete that angry text or stop a message sending to the wrong person?

The good guys at WhatsApp are about to help you out, it would appear.

iPhone users can test out the new edit and revoke features being tested in WhatsApp

A brilliant new update that is currently being tested lets you edit and delete WhatsApp messages after you’ve sent them.

As long as the recipient hasn’t read them yet, you should be able to send it to oblivion.

The new feature is being trialled in its iPhone beta software, according to the eagle-eyed Whatsapp watchers at @WABetaInfo.

It claimed that the trial let users “revoke” their messages.

The recipient will simply get a note saying “the sender revoked the message”.

WhatsApp have not confirmed the feature, and it’s unclear when it will be rolled out.
